LHJ’S 20 years of hashing

Run 1511 The Lonsdale, Jesmond

Hares LHJ and Ion Dick

Classic high quality action shot showcasing ‘The Grasshopper Lean’

A virgin hare from Ion Dick  last week who, map in hand, dilgently attempted to lead and follow a trail set by his co-hare LHJ earlier in the day ( when it wasn’t dark) for the longer r*nners. Special kudos for employing those skills to manage a large, noisy and wayward bunch of hashers along a trail he hadn’t set and didn’t know very well.

Leaving the Lonsdale and the W*lkers to the tender mercies of LHJ, hashers set off into Jesmond scattering the well heeled Jesmondians in their attempts to find flour. The trail led up and down Osbourne road , cunningly back tracking over the metro and off towards the Town Moor. Distracted by BM’s flow of talk, Psychedelic took a tumble but fortuantely no lasting harm was done. A further mile or two of crisscrossing back alleys and streets brought us to The Beer Stop at The Millstone to quench our thirst before scooting back up Matthew bank to the On Inn and circle to celebrate our triumphant return. We celebrated LHJ’s pedigree of hashing with some superb homemade cake and lashings of beer.

Thanks to the hares for a splendiferous hash
